"Ma said to clean your room before Saria comes back," Kabir informed and left.

Why do I have to clean my room anyway? It is not like Saria is some stranger who hasn't seen my messy room. Honestly, she does get annoyed by it.

I take all the clothes from the floor and shove them into the washing basket and then fix the bed when the bell rings.

I ran to the living room and saw that choto chachi opened the door which revealed Saria.

Rehan ran up to her and asked if she had the chocolates he wanted her to bring. She gave him the chocolate and he ran off to Shazad who didn't bother to come and see her. 

They act like they don't care about each other when Shazad misses her every day when she is not here and she always puts him before anyone else.

I waited in the corner for her to notice me when all the elders come and welcome her and starts chatting to her.

Lastly, Kabir went and did whatever handshake they made together and she finally noticed me.

"Areh Fapuuuuu!" she ran up to me and hugged me. She called me Fapu which was basically Fariha+Apu even though she was only a few months younger than me.

"Kemon achis?" (How are you?) I ask after breaking off the hug. 

"Hmm good. Tui?" (You?) 

"It's going." 

"Very slowly na?" she finished my sentence as I nodded.

"Where is Rayan bhaia? This is for him." she said while showing a bag.

"He is in his room. Sleeping." I informed as we both walked up to her room.

"Sleeping? On the day before his wedding?" she asked confused.

"Areh janish na? He might not be able to sleep tomorrow life." (Don't you know?) I said while laughing.

"That's not wrong," she said while joining.

I hold my hand out and she looked at me confused.

"You brought chocolate for Rehan and Shazad, gave a bag to Kabir bhaia, something from Rayan bhaia as well and fruits for the elders. So for me?" I ask

"I'm your gift na? Didn't you miss me?" She said while hugging me again. Normally, I'm the one who goes around hugging all my friends while she keeps to herself. But when we were together, it was the opposite.

I looked at her annoyed when she spoke up again.

"Areh no, of course, I have something for you." she took out a box from her carrier bag and handed it to me.

My annoyed look immediately turns into a pleased look as I opened the box to see a bracelet.

"Thanks Saruu" I pull her into a hug.

"Hmm! Now move so I can get changed! I'm tired!" She went into the bathroom as I started trying out the bracelet in my hand.

"Ehsan bhai! Chachi is calling you." Ezra came and informed me.

"Haan Ma?" I ask as I go to the kitchen, the place where she usually is.

"Dress properly for tomorrow," she said without looking up from whatever she was making.

"Ma, I always dress properly." I say while eating an apple that was in the fruit basket.

She glares at me. "Listen to what I'm saying. Dress properly! And don't you dare go off flirting with every girl on sight. Stay with Ehaan until I call you. Now leave." she went back to her work forgetting my existance.

I leave the kitchen and walk to Ehaan's room.

"Kya?" (What?) He says as I enter without knocking. Only I had the courage to do that in this whole house. Even the elders knocked.

"Do you know why Ma warned me to stay with you the whole time?" I ask while sitting on his bed.

"No," he said without looking up from his laptop. The thing he was glued to 24/7.

"Why are you still on your laptop? Have you prepared for Rayan's wedding?"

"Why do I need to prepare? I'm just visiting as a guest," he said still typing away.

"No but did you decide your outfit?" 

"I can put on anything. As I said, it's not like it's my wedding. So now get out of my room." this guy. He probably won't even be prepared for his own wedding!

"Yeah, don't get jealous when I look more handsome and get all the girls."

"I'm not going to be jealous of you. And I also don't care about girls. And! You better stay with me or I'm telling Chachi."

"Yes, I will. Chill." I say and leave the room.

Why do everyone want me to stay in a corner tomorrow? It's my friend's wedding. I want to enjoy!
